Ikonic Entertainment Group Signs Design Project for Eco Theme Park in Suzhou, China

TCG Press Release

February 13, 2013

LOS ANGELES - Ikonic Entertainment Group Ltd. a portfolio company of Transworld Capital Group, has entered into an agreement to provide design services for Phase I of a new Chinese agricultural ecological theme park under development near the Suzhou Singapore Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province, China. Part of a 1,000-acre master layout, Phase I will occupy 150 acres situated amongst wild, untouched wetlands. Because of the ecologically sensitive nature of the surroundings, the park calls solely for the use of glass and wood structures that blend with the natural landscape of the wetlands, making only a minimal footprint so as not to disrupt the ecology. Phase I of the park will open in two years..

Jack Chen, Chairman of Ikonic, said: “This Suzhou eco-themed park is the third design/turn-key theme park project we have signed since the inception of Ikonic about one and a half years ago. Our first themed entertainment venue Kungfu Park broke ground in September of 2012 and is expected to be completed in less than three years. We are very excited about the market opportunities in China where middle class consumers more and more are craving world-class travel options with distinctive Chinese characteristics.” Tony Christopher, Ikonic's CEO, said: “This project will showcase Ikonic's expertise in creating beautiful and captivating attractions, and we think this project will do extremely well in terms of people traffic. It's located very conveniently within a ten-minute from Suzhou's Singapore Industrial Park, and twenty-minute drive from the historic Suzhou downtown, which is known as the 'Venice of the East.'” He continued: “Not only will this project provide an excellent day destination for locals, but we think it will be a major draw for the entire Yangtze River Delta region. We aim to offer an experience that is not just educational, but also interactive and entertaining.”
