Alex Cree


Alex Cree is an independent consultant and operational advisor specialized in M&A and capital markets advisory, early-stage business strategy, and international business development. His expertise spans industries including apparel, textiles, consumer & luxury goods, industrial equipment & components, natural resources, pharmaceuticals, health care, aircraft & aviation services, entertainment, commercial & agricultural real-estate, food & beverage, green technology, private education, and non-profits.

From 2009 through 2014, Mr. Cree served with Transworld Capital Group (TCG), a boutique investment banking and consulting firm that provides cross-border advisory services to a diverse array of clients in the United States and Greater China. Culminating with his role as Vice President at TCG, Mr. Cree led cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions between the U.S. and China and managed proprietary investments in the firm's portfolio companies.

Prior to joining TCG, he served for two years as Business Development Specialist for the North American Representative Office of Shenzhen, PRC (NAROS). In his capacity as one of the Shenzhen city government's few full-time American employees, Mr. Cree worked alongside senior government officials to attract large foreign investments to Shenzhen, bolster the city's export profile, and support major Shenzhen-based companies in their expansion into overseas markets. In addition to his work with NAROS, Mr. Cree served as a U.S. House of Representatives Congressional Intern in San Diego, legal assistant at a Beverly Hills law firm, researcher at a multilateral trade advisory organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and as a marketing and development intern at Southern California Public Radio in Los Angeles.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California and a Master's in International Management and China Studies from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at University of California at San Diego. He has studied Mandarin Chinese intensively at Beijing Language & Culture University in Beijing and at National Taiwan University in Taipei.
